We will kick off the introduction with registration at Roeterseiland, where you will meet your group and mentor for the first time. Throughout the day, you and your group will explore Amsterdam through an exciting city game. In the afternoon, we will officially welcome everyone at the Dominicus Church. We will close the day with a relaxing boat tour through Amsterdam’s famous canals.
The day includes an information market at our brand-new UvA Library, including fun workshops. In the afternoon, we will discover some of the different museums Amsterdam has to offer. In the evening, we will head to Mooie Boules for a fun night out filled with games, social activities and karaoke.
The final day starts with a creative morning, with either a Dutch Crash Course or creative activities at CREA. In the afternoon, we will head to USC for sports activities, followed by a spectacular closing party at Melkweg to celebrate the end of an unforgettable introduction week.

Here’s a quick look at the schedule:
We will start strong with the Official Welcome from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, in collaboration with ESN at DominicusKerk. You are welcome to enter the hall from 10:30AM onwards, and the event will start at 11:00AM.
After this warm introduction, an hour-long Boat Tour will follow, with the first two boats leaving at 12:30PM, and the next two leaving at 12:45PM.
From 1:45PM, a Scavenger Hunt will take place, after we will have some afternoon bites & a light meal at 3:30PM. We recommend bringing a pre-packed lunch or some snacks, so you can power-up throughout the day and keep your energy levels up!
From 4:30PM to 6:45PM, the afternoon will be filled with games and other fun activities, such as a Creative Corner, and a Dutch Crash Course at Wibauthuis, so you can have the basics of day-to-day interactions down and ready to go! This will also give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the university building in which you’ll be taking some of your courses this upcoming semester.
