Join ESN’s Language Tandem Program – Learn, Connect, and Have Fun!

Would you like to make your time in Amsterdam even more enriching? Always wanted to learn a new language or improve one you already know?

The Language Tandem Program is made for students that want to learn or refresh a language. Perhaps you may have picked up a language while travelling, think a particular language sounds interesting or maybe you just hated your French teacher in high school and want to give learning another shot. This program is for anyone who enjoys speaking, teaching and learning a language while socializing with fellow students. After all, talking is the best way to learn a new language! No need to drown in endless books filled with grammar.

How does it work?

Doesn’t this sound great? Luckily, joining the Language Tandem program is super easy. All you have to do is download our Papaya App, make a profile and join the Language Tandem Program.

Note: If you already signed up for our buddy program, you can use your existing Papaya profile!

Once you’ve signed up, you can sit back and relax! We will take care of the matching process, and will make sure to find you a suitable language partner. Your language partner will be proficient in the language you are trying to learn. Simultaneously, your language partner wants to learn the language you are proficient in. It’s like a lingual win-win situation! You can learn and teach each other your languages! It’s all up to you how and when you want to practice with your language partner.

Language Exchange Café

We regularly host language exchange café events. During these sessions, you can practice your lingual skills with native speakers of a wide variety of languages in a fun and cozy café setting. Keep an eye on our website, socials and WhatsApp group to know when the next event will take place. We highly recommend joining these events, as you get to meet other language learners too.
